Emily Stein, MD will join Ballard Pediatric Clinic in May 2025.
Dr. Stein was born and raised in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. She completed her undergraduate education at Grinnell College then went on to get a Master of Science in Medical Anthropology from University College London. She returned to the United States to attend medical school at the University of Washington School of Medicine and stayed on to complete her residency in pediatrics at Seattle Children’s Hospital. She graduated in 2017 and has been working in the Seattle area since then.
She has a special interest in promoting wellness through balanced nutrition and an active lifestyle. This builds on her experience working for C3 Collaborating for Health in London before starting medical school. C3 is an NGO that focuses on the prevention of non-communicable diseases such as those linked to obesity through healthy lifestyle modifications. Dr. Stein also loves staying active personally and when not in the office, can be found outside running, biking or skiing in the mountains.
Dr. Stein lives in Seattle with her husband, Isaac, and their two children. When not in the office, the Stein family can pretty much always be found outside in some capacity.
She will see patients on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
